Coalition for Jobs, Growth and Prosperity Launches Ideas Illinois

Chicago – Today, Coalition for Jobs, Growth and Prosperity launched Ideas Illinois, a new initiative committed to improving and growing Illinois’ economy by promoting free-market principles anchored in a reasonable and predictable tax system. Ideas Illinois will engage lawmakers and those who put them in office to argue for solutions to Illinois’ economic challenges that are sustainable and acceptable for the majority of taxpayers.

“Reckless spending and a massive jobs tax are not the way to fix Illinois’ broken economy,” said Greg Baise, Chairman of Ideas Illinois. “Ideas Illinois will provide the people of our state with an independent voice that is committed to tax reform policies, building a stronger business climate, and finding real long-term economic solutions.”

In addition to Ideas Illinois’ campaign to stop the jobs tax, the organization will promote tax reform to save Illinois’ financial future, promote a stronger Illinois business climate, and encourage a long-term fix to Illinois’ pension debt. Ideas Illinois is the only entity with the expertise, focus and past record to lead the fight to stop the jobs tax. To find out more about Ideas Illinois,

The Coalition for Jobs, Growth and Prosperity was established by Ron Gidwitz and Greg Baise in 2004 to advocate for government policies that promote market-driven principles. Since that time, the Jobs Coalition has been the tip of the spear in a number of statewide and national campaigns, including the 2004 fight in Illinois against Rod Blagojevich’s gross receipts tax, the national 2009-2010 fight against pro-union “card check” legislation, and the 2017 fight against the “soda tax” in Cook County. In 2018, Jim Gidwitz took over the helm when Ron Gidwitz became U.S. Ambassador to Belgium.
